B Corp stands for Benefit for All

Doing business for good

B Corp is an international network of organisations leading change to achieve a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy with a commitment to people and the planet - not just profit.

Its defined social, environmental, and governance bestpractices enable businesses to positively impact society and the environment. We can all do great business while being a force for good.

With B Corp certification, The Gap is well on its way to social, business and environmental sustainability.

We encourage our members and their clients to do the same – by providing business advisory and content to help them identify and solve their own social and environmental challenges.

Diversity. Equity. Inclusion.

The Gap recognises the value of a diverse workforce.

We believe that with a diverse set of experiences and outlooks, our company can reach its full potential.

Creating an equitable and inclusive work environment is key to who we are and what we do. We look for people who can expand our culture, challenge business as usual, and bring their whole selves to work every day.

4.5 day work week

Balance is the key to happiness and productivity. For several years, we’ve worked a 4.5-day work week while getting paid for five!

We’ve fully embraced flexible work-from-home options that have positively impacted team morale and productivity while reducing our carbon footprint.

Our charity of choice

Remember when you were a kid? LIfe seemed full of possibilities.

Young people today need to be encouraged to stay positive, aim high, go for their dreams, and make the most of their unique talents.

The Graeme Dingle Foundation is right there cheering them on.

A whopping $10.50 return on every dollar invested.

Every dollar invested in the Graeme Dingle Foundation programmes results in an average $10.50 return on investment to the New Zealand economy.

Our B Corp goals

B Corp companies are transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities and the planet.

We encourage our members to join the B Corp Movement.

Reducing one’s footprint is a key focus of B Corp.

We’ve undertaken many initiatives to do our part. From re-envisioning the concept of ‘conference swag’ (would you prefer another branded drink bottle? or significant discounts at top retail stores near our conference venue?) to reducing our collective commuting time and championing improvements to the building which houses our HQ.

We’re also certified carbon neutral

This is an additional, ongoing commitment we’ve made to care for the life of this place, our people and our future.

Toitū is a commitment to holistic, continual sustainability. Toitū Envirocare is a New Zealand-based firm that has helped us identify, document, mitigate, and offset our emissions.

The Gap Community is a force for positive change

B Corp and Toitū are two impactful organisations we can work with to do better business.

At The Gap, we’re part of an incredible community of like-minded accountants, advisors and bookkeepers. Together, we’re supporting each other to make incremental positive change - while helping the business community to do the same.
